The Met Women open the season entertaining local rivals Chobham Ladies. The Met will be looking to see the squad develop on the back of the successful close season Centenary Tour to Gibraltar.

The starting XV is full of familiar faces, not least Beena Chadha and Louise Matson, who will both be making their fourteenth appearance for the Met Women. They form the backbone of the squad, both on and off the field and have done since the Section was reconstituted

The Met’s Director of Rugby, Jake Cottrell, is looking forward to the new season. “Exciting times are ahead” states Jake “and no section is more important than the women’s side”. A successful season will open the door for the Met to join the RFU’s structured Women’s pathway.
