The Met welcome old Surrey foes, Old Cranleighans, to Imber Court this weekend. The Met will be keen to make up for the lost points last weekend when the Police were unable to field a full side owing to Service requirements. After a good win at Old Whitgiftians on the opening Saturday, Old Cranleighans slipped to a two point defeat in a low scoring encounter with Old Wimbledonians.
This Saturday's protagonists have had several encounters over the last few seasons. Results have swung from season to season as well as having a great range, from close run games to massacres.
Fred Dalley has his first start of the season as does Rory Payn, seeing Dylan Jones drop to the bench. James Dyson replaces Huw Longden at open-side, presumably to suck the life out of the old boys' midfield. The front five sees several changes with Gavin Bolton's appearance registering his 23rd season in the 1st XV. Dan Dacre and Ethan Sutton-Davies will make their debuts from the bench.
Hopefully, the shadows of summer will set on a thrilling encounter and the Met on the march back to the top of the table.
